When I started getting involved with OTYD it was unexpected. I had already began my journey to getting to know God. I would say at that point I was happy with my growth but I was keeping all the joy to myself. So I started teaching kids at a local church and then I started volunteering more than Sundays. Little by little I saw the impact it had on others when I shared the love I receive from God. So I started lending a hand wherever I could like a video or reposting a bible study flyer. Before I knew it, God had sent me a community of people that had the same love for Him. People who wanted to serve and grow from within. I feel like I can have conversations about anything without feeling guilty or judged.
Proverbs 27:16 says “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” I couldn’t have said it better, I now have accountability for my journey and people who will pray together. The greatest part of it all is that we are continuously working on ourselves and praising God together.
